Eugene C. Sit 1938-2008

After a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer, Eugene C. Sit, Founder and Chairman of Sit Investment Associates, passed away on June 24, 2008 at the age of 69.

Sit Investment Associates has planned extensively for succession for the last 15 years and the firm has an extensive and experienced research team with over 30 investment professionals.  Roger Sit, President, CEO, and Global Investment Officer will continue leading Sit Investment in all aspects of the investment process and portfolio management.  Roger joined Sit Investment in January 1998 and has worked closely with Gene during his entire tenure at the firm, including serving as Deputy Chief Investment Officer and Co-Chief Investment Officer.  Prior to joining Sit Investment, Roger was a Vice President and Senior Equity Research Analyst for Goldman Sachs & Company in New York City for seven years.

Gene Sit was a great man.  The Sit Family and the 70+ employees of Sit Investment will continue to carry-on the strong culture and tradition that Sit Investment has operated under for the past 27 years.
