Denise Anderson is a vice president of research and investment management with Sit Investment Associates and brings an extensive background in both investments and chemistry to her fundamental research on companies in the global healthcare sector.

Immediately prior to joining Sit Investment Associates in 2008, Denise served as a vice president and sell-side healthcare analyst at Bank Julius Baer in Zurich, Switzerland, where she led a team of healthcare analysts.  She also served as a vice president for Bank Sarasin in Zurich, where she was a chemical and pharmaceutical analyst.  Prior to her investment roles, Denise was a director and scientist for Roche Holding Company and a senior scientist with BASF.  She has earned a number of patents for her scientific research.

Denise holds a Ph.D. in organic chemistry from the Johns Hopkins University, which she received in 1989.  She was awarded an M.B.A. from Duke University in 1997.  Denise earned a B.A. in chemistry from the University of Minnesota in 1983.

Denise serves as press secretary for the American Chemical Society’s Minnesota Government and Legislative Affairs Committee.  She is president of the Twin Cities Chapter of the Johns Hopkins Alumni Association.
