Mike is a vice president with Sit Fixed Income and is focused on the analysis and management of corporate bond investments in the firm’s separately managed accounts, private investment funds, and mutual funds.
Prior to joining Sit Investment Associates, Mike was a senior corporate bond analyst at U.S. Bancorp Asset Management for over five years. His background includes serving as a portfolio manager for an alternative income fund at Ziegler Capital Management, a credit analyst at Travelers Companies, an analyst, portfolio manager and trader for ABS, convertible securities, and corporate bonds at Thrivent Financial, and a fixed income analyst, co-manager, and portfolio analytics team leader at Conseco Capital Management. Prior to that, Mike was the head of fixed income quantitative analysis, including MBS, derivatives, portfolio analysis and risk management at PPM America.
Mike earned an M.B.A. degree from Northwestern University, Kellogg School of Management, as well as a M.S. degree in statistics and a B.B.A. degree in finance from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Mike is a CFA charter holder and an active volunteer with the CFA Society of Minnesota.
